Kohima, July 28 (EMN): With people becoming more aware of preserving the flora and fauna, in a significant development, an 8 foot 3 inch long python was donated to the Nagaland Zoological Park, Rangapahar in Dimapur through the forest officials Kohima on July 28.
The python was caught alive at RK Farm, Zhadima village on July 27 and was donated by Chiephobozou BDO, Seyiekhrielie Rio and VDB secretary of Nerhema and Zhadima, Rükravolie Rülho and Roko Angami.
BDO Rio said this move was to create awareness among the villagers towards preserving and conserving wildlife in the state for our future. He was optimistic that this would be an example for all to follow.
Meanwhile, a forest official said the python will be transferred to Dimapur Zoo on July 30.
