Dimapur, May 9 (EMN): Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School (PVHSS), Dimapur, celebrated the 156th birth anniversary of Rabindra Nath Tagore, the world poet, on May 9 at Pranab Jubilee Auditorium at 9 AM.
The welcome speech was delivered by Dilip Das, Assistant Teacher, while Ananyo Chakraborty, Class XII student delivered an inspiring speech. Ashok Kumar Ray, senior teacher, also delivered his speech.
In his speech, Swami Chinmayanandaji Maharaj, Secretary of PVHSS and In-charge of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Dimapur and Karbi Anglong districts, dwelt upon the life and activities of Rabindra Nath Tagore. He also congratulated all the successful candidates of HSLC and HSSLC.
Monoj Bhattacharjee, school principal, also graced the occasion and delivered an informative speech.
The progamme was marked with presentation of rich cultural extravaganza.
