Punuru brace puts Ziekezuo in second place

Ziekezou SC was wasteful and almost made to pay for their lacklustre play but it was Punuru who came to rescue for the team in the second half to register their third win in six matches in the league. In the first half, Neikethozo Yhome of Ziekezou was culpable as he wasted numerous chances failing to find the back of the net. While Twenty XI failed to connect with their strikers as the first half ended in a goalless draw. Punuru Nienu came to rescue in the second half as he scored a controversial goal in the 55th minute for Ziekezou. Punuru Nienu then set up for Vilhoubeituo Yhome to score in the 63rd minute inside the D box but fail to convert as he shot the ball wide off the target. Twenty XI best chances came through a spot kick after the referee awarded penalty for a handball inside the area but Visekhol Mekro missed the spot kick as the keeper Keneiphrezo Kire got the right direction to tap out the ball out of the danger zone. It was Kelengoto James Kechu who equalised the score line from another spot kick in 76th minute for Twenty XI. Zevito Khizho free kick was inches away from giving the lead for Twenty XI as the goalkeeper Keneiphrezo Kire managed to tap-out the ball in the 76th minute to ease the pressure for Ziekezou. Punuru then scored from a goalkeeping blunder in the 80th minute as Ziekezou team hold on for a win against Twenty XI. At the end of the fifth round, Sechu Zubza remained on top of the league at the end of the fifth round with 11 points, Ziekezou SC in second with 10 points, Twenty XI in third with 7 points and New Market FC in fourth place with 6 points of the Kohima Football League table.
