DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 4: Minister of PWD Road and Bridges and convenor of the festival, Y Vikheho Swu informed that the 3rd edition of Thuwu-ni festival will be held in Pughoboto town from November 14 to 16.
The festival committee informed that the festival will showcase agricultural produce of the region, traditional games and songs, culinary skills, Akikiti (Sumi kick fighting) championship and various other competitive indigenous games. In addition, there will also be Enduro cycling race under the aegis of Native Station, Kohima.
The convenor also announced that a host of celebrities including Amit Paul, Guru Reuben Mashangva, INCIPIT, Gloria Tep, Purniken, Dreamz Unlimited, local artistes and entrepreneurs namely Neichute Duolo, Keren Yethomi (Dzukou Tribal), Joel Basumatri (Smokey Joe) have confirmed their participation in the festival. It also informed that accommodation for tourists were arranged.The festival will be gracing by Home Minister Y Patton and minister for Power, Kipili Sangtam as chief guests.
