Pughoboto constitutes award committees

Dimapur, July 11 (EMN): Pughoboto Sub-Division Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) has constituted committees for the best performing Village Council Chairmen (VCC) Award and Clean Village Award for 2019 headed by the EAC as convenor along with other officers. The awards would be given away during Thuwuni festival.
The committees were set-up during the meeting of Pughoboto SDPDB held on July 11 under the chairmanship of SDO (Civil), Tiayanger Jamir, at DB court.
Addressing the meeting, SDO (Civil) stressed on the ban on single-use plastic and asked the officers to sensitise their staff, neighbourhood, shops, school institutions, religious institutions and others. The house also distributed the works for the forthcoming Independence Day.

Director of Rural Natural Connect Society, Botoshe, gave a presentation on how the organisation has taken up project to promote organic farming in the division. The house also decided to write to the government for registration of Rural Natural Connect Society.

SDO (Soil), Pughoboto, Ruokutosietuo in his power point presentation said Nagaland receives an average annual rainfall of 1525 mm as per metrological report of the department of Soil and Water Conservation. He also highlighted other activities and benefits from soil survey and land use such as planning, nursery development (State plan), watershed management for sustainable agriculture production and improved livelihood and establishment of State Soil Testing Laboratory Building and Equipment (NEC), and National Adaptation Fund on Climate Change (NAPCC) under Agriculture department.

EAC, Nuhuta Tuniyi, informed the officers to be ready to assist in the registration of indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland which would also be implemented in the sub-division.
