Dimapur, Aug. 13 (EMN): The meeting of the subdivision planning and development board of Pughoboto in Zunheboto district, was conducted on August 13 presided over by chairman of the board Y Vikheho Swu.

The government publicity agency, the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR), issued updates on Tuesday informing about the meeting.

Swu informed the officials that the ‘best village council’ award should be given instead of the “best village council chairman award,” which was decided in the board’s previous meeting. The criteria for the award are to be decided by the administration, the officials were told.

Also, subdivision officer (civil) Tiayanger Jamir asked the award committee members to see how the villages are performing and to submit their reports on time.

The board members deliberated on an agenda for setting up a fire station at Pughoboto, a forest reserve at Ighanumi, and a Tragopan sanctuary at Lazami. No Objection Certificates from the villages in concern are required, it was informed.

According to the IPR, the board decided to ‘remind’ the department in concern to identify land to set up a fire station. The house also approved to set up a child development project officer’s office in Pughoboto in the next financial year.

Further, the board decided to write to the authorities to post a subdivision education officer for Pughoboto, the IPR added.
