Dimapur, March 18 (EMN): Public toilets at four different places in Mokokchung, constructed under Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) and channelised through Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) was inaugurated on March 18 by Chairman of Mokokchung Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), M Bendangnukshi Longkumer as the chief guest in the presence of HUDCO Regional Chief, LM Yanthan and ADC & Administrator MMC, Bendanglila.
Funded under HUDCO Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for the financial year 2015-2016, the public toilets were constructed at Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH), Marepkong ward, Imkongmeren Sports Complex and Fazl Ali College, a DIPR report said.
The chief guest, in his speech, said the objective of HUDCO is to promote sustainable habitat development to enhance quality of life. He lauded HUDCO for leaving its footprints in Mokokchung by constructing the public toilet which was much needed for the people of the town. He urged upon the citizens to adopt behavioural change thereby taking responsibility in maintaining and safeguarding public properties to bring about a change in the society.

(MMC) Bendangnukshi also apprised the Regional Chief HUDCO LM Yanthan that Mokokchung town being centrally located is in much need of a parking zone for those trucks carrying goods to Mokokchung town and also other districts such as Longleng, Tuensang and Zunebhoto.
Shot speeches were delivered by the Regional Chief, HUDCO, LM Yanthan and Dr. Medem, MS IMDH, on behalf of the beneficiaries, while the concluding remarks was proposed by Superintendent MMC, O Pangjung. The programme was chaired by ADC & Administrator MMC, Bendanglila.
