Dimapur, June 30: Additional Deputy Commissioner & Electoral Registration Officer Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi has issued a public notice stating that in compliance to the Election Commission of India instructions, the possible duplicate electors (possible double entry of name in electoral rolls) existing in the current electoral rolls within the district and inter-district has been generated through the De-duplication software. Physical verification of such duplicate has been done by the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in their respective polling station during the month of April and May 2016 by going house to house. Based on the BLOs verification report the list of the identified duplicate electors has been prepared for making deletion from the electoral roll and the list is made available in the Office of the Electoral Registration Officer, Kohima for public inspection.
The ADC & Electoral Registration Officer Kohima has therefore invited any organization/party/individual for inspection of the list and lodging of complaint, if any, on or before the 14thJuly 2016.
