Dimapur, July 22 (EMN): A mass social work cum public meeting was organised at Tsüswüzu (Chesezu) village under Phek District, on July 22, as a part of the annual mass social work of the village.
More than 500 village citizens came and cleaned the village, filled up potholes, including the Netaji Heritage sites preserved at the village. The programme was jointly organised by Tsüswüveh Village Council and Committee on Netaji Heritage at Tsüswüzu, and supported by Tsüswüzu Students Union (TSU).
In a public meeting after social work, Zaveyi Nyekha, rtd Principal Director (School Education); Vekhosayi Nyekha, president Western Chakhesang Hoho; Dr. Vetsütsoyi Swüro of Bethel Hospital, among others delivered speeches. The speakers stressed on the importance of cleanliness, health care, community service, and the need for oneness among the citizens.
The meeting also adopted a resolution to jointly organize 75 years of Christianity at the village in 2018.
