  • Stemming from the issue of Nagaland Cabinet’s decision to regularise 147 contractual posts of assistant professors and librarians, the dialogue is being organised in response to the state government’s continued silence following the expiry of a requisition deadline set earlier this month.

  • The dialogue will focus on the requisition of the contentious 147 assistant professor and librarian posts to the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC), the right to equal opportunity, transparency, fair recruitment, and open competition.

  • CTAN and NNQF have extended an invitation to all concerned citizens to not only come and support but also share their advice.

  • Addressing a press conference at Kohima Press Club on Friday, Videkhono noted that the speakers have been chosen on the grounds that they have deep concern for the Nagas and have always been in support of their cause.

  • During their protest held in May, CTAN and NNQF appealed to many individuals and organisations, and a few of them extended support, she added.

  • Meshenlo also said that the objective is to have a healthy discussion. The Higher Education department and Minister of Higher Education were also formally invited, but he said that they have expressed difficulties and won’t make it.
