Proposed Tuli strike kept in abeyance

EMN DIMAPUR, MARCH 24 A delegation of government officials, led by the Secretary for Industries and Commerce, on Thursday met with members of the Tuli Area Joint Council Forum even as the 30-day ultimatum served by the latter – for revival of the Nagaland Pulp & Paper Company Ltd – expired today. According to a press note from the Tuli Area Joint Council Forum, following discussions the meeting decided to keep the planned indefinite strike in Tuli area “in abeyance.” It informed that the Secretary was accompanied by his department officials and ADC, Tuli.
