Prominent Kohima surgeon Dr Vikethonyu Kesiezie, founder of Oking Hospital, dies at 65 after prolonged kidney-related treatment
KOHIMA — Prominent surgeon and proprietor and managing director of Oking Hospital & Research Clinic in Kohima, Dr. Vikethonyu Kesiezie, passed away on Monday evening. He was 65.

According to hospital sources, Dr. Kesiezie had been undergoing treatment for a kidney-related ailment in the ICU at his hospital for several months. A general surgeon, Dr Kesiezie established Oking Hospital, one of the oldest private healthcare facilities in Kohima.
The funeral service is expected to be held on Tuesday, although the time had not been ascertained till the time of filing this report.
