Project VARDAAN concludes in Nagaland

- DIMAPUR — Zublee
Foundation, in collaboration with the North Eastern Development Finance
Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi), concluded the final phase of Project VARDAAN (Chapter
IV) in Nagaland.
- The initiative, launched on February 13, 2024, has been raising
awareness about deceased organ donation across the northeast, with Nagaland
marking the final chapter, according to a press release.
- According to the release, a total of eight workshops were
conducted in Kohima and Dimapur, with institutions such as Nagaland Institute
of Medical Science and Research, Kohima College, Alder College, National
Institute of Technology, Grace Nursing Institute, Nagaland University, Sazolie
College, and National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology
participating.
- These sessions provided insights into organ donation,
debunking myths and fostering informed discussions on the topic. Project
VARDAAN is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by NEDFi.
- Priyanka Borah, CEO of Zublee Foundation, hailed the success
of the project in Nagaland’s premier institutions as a "significant
milestone," marking the state’s first large-scale grassroots effort to
promote organ donation.
- It said that the team, including Diksha Kashyap (project
coordinator, office head) and Dharitri Nath (field coordinator), will continue
to build on this momentum, with follow-up activities planned over the next
three months to reinforce awareness and engagement across participating
institutions.
