In his key note address, Limasunep appreciated the initiative taken by the group of young lawyers in reaching out to the jail inmates through ‘Project Paper Bridge.’ He said that reading values will help the inmates in their reformation and rehabilitation.“Our society has failed its citizens especially the Under Trial Prisoners (UTPs) in one way or the other and setting up Library for them will benefit not only the jail inmates but society as a whole,” he observed. Co-founder of Sarvahitey Prem Prakash, highlighted the purpose of the project. He said that the chain of libraries will culturally unify the whole country. The Dimapur District Jail is the first library of its kind in the state and the third library under the project, he informed. Sarvahitey in collaboration with KAL group plans to open many more libraries in Nagaland over a period of next 18 months under the Northeast chapter of the ‘Project Paper Bridge’. A total of 1,000 libraries will be opened all across India under this project, out of which 100 will be in Northeast.
