Diphu, June 9 (EMN): The Karbi Anglong District Mahila Congress Committee (KADMCC) took out a procession against price hike of essential commodities and fuel, in Diphu on June 9 Saturday. The procession was started from Karbi Anglong District Congress Committee (KADCC) via Diphu market and culminated at KADCC.
The procession was led by KADMCC president Kasang Terangpi and other party workers of Mahila Congress of Karbi Anglong.
Terangpi said with the BJP party coming power at the Centre, the hike in price of essential commodities, fuel and LPG has increased regularly. The hike of price of essential commodities has affected the general public and demanded for immediate relaxation of price on essential commodities.
About the Kangthilangso incident Terangpi said the incident is regrettable. The public should have first verified. Instead of taking law into their hands, the public should have informed the police, she said.
