WOKHA — The deputy commissioner (DC) of Wokha, Vineet Kumar, on Tuesday inaugurated a ‘Pro Fitness Gym’ in Wokha town as the special guest.
Vineet Kumar, a health and fitness enthusiast himself, expressed gratitude for the new opportunity provided to the district with state-of-the-art facilities. He encouraged the proprietors, Ren Khuvung and Taku Jamir, to not only focus on the business aspect but to also support youth driven by drugs and alcohol in the society.
He emphasised that our bodies are meant to work and not remain idle and urged everyone to exercise and stay fit. He also urged to maintain good health for a better lifestyle.
He further called upon the youth to contribute to society, noting that many are astray and involved in social evils that harm society and the future. He wished the proprietors success and encouraged them to contribute positively to society.
Moalong Yaden, a renowned personality in the field of health and fitness, was the guest of honour of the event. Yaden, an accomplished bodybuilder who received the Mr. Nagaland title in 2022, 5th position at Mr. World 2021 and Mr. Jerai Classic 2016, shared his journey into bodybuilding driven by passion.
He urged the proprietors to continue pushing forward with passion and determination. He recalled how addiction claimed his friend's life and how that motivated him. He encouraged them to be a beacon of hope for youth addicted to alcohol and drugs.
Ren Khuvung, one of the proprietors, highlighted the facilities provided at Pro Fitness Gym, including separate washroom facilities and hygienic conditions, offering the best services to fitness enthusiasts.
Taku Jamir delivered the vote of thanks.
