Reacting to the recent news carried out in the North East APN News exclusive interview with Neiphiu Rio MP Nagaland. The NPF would like to raise some questions to Shri Neiphiu Rio, Why he didn’t mention that during his Chief Minister-ship time where 3 BJP MLAs were made to merged with NPF (a coalition partner) and here presently 3 NCP MLAs were disqualified based on the petition filed by the then President NCP Er. T. L. Semdok? The NPF tried its best to convince NCP to withdraw the case in Supreme Court and subsequently Er T.L Semdok moved to the Court with withdrawal petition. However the NCP High Command fought back and removed Er. Semdok from the party and replaced his Vice President Mr. Miathou Krose and change the name of the petitioner and the case is still pending in the court.
The question here is, while Shri Neiphiu Rio was talking in North East APN News TV interview, Rio avoided some part of the story, just to clean His hand before the BJP leaders at the Centre. If He is trying to be a true leader, he should not start from the middle or ending part only but clearly spell out the whole story from A to Z. How the present Chief Minister was elected through consensus ? How crisis started from Shri Neiphiu Rio house to Rio Villa, Niathu Resort? And how many times reconciliation took place at His behest and created dissident camps posing few leaders to replace present Chief Minister and all the attempts failed him miserably and Rio himself trying to come back with the support of those projected leaders who tried in the race. His suspension from the party can’t be justified through media but the NPF party only know how He played against the party and had cheated the Naga People during his Chief Minister-ship of 11 years. The memorable legacy he had left behind with huge deficit and made few people rich from his constituency and these few Rio’s coterie have become money lenders in the state.
Here are some of the reasons Why Rio lost the confidence of the NPF party and ultimately suspended from the party.1. Rio didn’t support the initiative of the NPF party to evolve a consensus to replace him as the Chief Minister when he left the State.
2. Only when majority of the NPF elected members including his own brother Mr. Zhaleo Rio endorsed Mr. T. R. Zeliang to be the next Chief Minister. He was rather compelled to support the choice of the party. Now he claimed that he had initially given his blessings to T.R. Zeliang but he was compelled because even his own brother defied his choice of person to replace him.
3. After few months of the change of guard, Rio orchestrated to topple the Government. He confined few MLAs in his private resort at Dimapur to forcibly take over the Government but it has miserably failed. Thereafter Rio wanted to finish the NPF party by forming dissident NPF group. They even filed case to ECI to freeze the COCK symbol. On this case also they miserably failed as the ECI ordered that COCK symbol cannot be freezed.
4. After failing all those attempts Rio wanted to topple the present Government even after completion of the reconciliation process within the party. There are many reasons but this are some of the few reasons amongst many which ultimately led to his suspension. He also wanted to assassinate the character of our Honourable Chief Minister by using the former Advocate General to file a case against Chief Minister for his educational qualification. What more proof do we require for a person who has that much vengeance against the NPF party and the Honourable Chief Minister, the general public should judge.
