The demand of the ENCSU for review of the recently conducted NSEE result is unjustified, irrelevant and devoid of reason. As a concerned parent observing the result of the NSEE results from close quarters for the past 2-3 years, I have noticed the many write ups by individuals and organizations alleging the discrepancies of the Technical Education Department which are far from truth.
It is true that according to the policy of the state 15% of the total seats per course are reserved for candidates belonging to backward tribes of Nagaland securing minimum qualified marks. However, according to the same policy, it is stated that “incase qualified candidates under Backward Tribe reservation are not available, then all such unfilled seats will be de-reserved and allotted to candidates under category 1 while maintaining merit”.
It learnt from reliable sources that only three candidates from backward tribes secured 40% and resultantly the department has de-reserved and allotted to the deserving candidates.
Thus, demanding knowingly what is not due to you and requesting for re examination solely for candidates belonging to the backwards tribes and asking for grace marks is totally ridiculous, unreasonable and unjustified as no university would accede nor entertain such proposal.
