Diphu, July 28 (EMN): A Complete Draft NRC will be published in Assam on July 30 following the directive from the Supreme Court, Deputy Commissioner, Karbi Anglong, Mridul Kumar Mahanta told the newsmen during a press conference held at DC conference hall here on Saturday, July 28.
DC Mahanta told media persons that the Complete Draft NRC consisting of names of all elibible applicants will be published on July 30 in all the NRC Seva Kendras across Assam and likewise in Karbi Anglong the Complete Draft NRC will be published in all the 42 NRC Seva Kendras (NSK) spread in the district.
This is not the final NRC and those applicants who do not find their names in the Complete Draft NRC will be given ample opportunity to prove their eligibility for inclusion in the final NRC, the DC said.
He further told that such applicants are required to submit their claim in the prescribed form.
There is also a provision for submission of objection against any ineligible name included in the Complete Draft NRC. Correction of names can also be made in respect of errors in the spelling of names, age, address details etc.
The final NRC will be published only after disposal of all claims, objections and corrections, the DC informed.
DC Mahanta also informed that only those applicants who submitted NRC applications form until August 30, 2015 can submit claims.
The claims can be submitted only at the NSK, where application form was submitted. Also those applicants whose address has been already changed after the submission of NRC forms can submit claims from where the NRC application earlier submitted in the NSK, Mahanta said. He also told that there will be separate form for each claim, objection and correction.
Likewise, objections can be submitted only athe NSK covering the residence of the person against whom the objection has been submitted. Either claim or objection is required to be submitted to the local registrar of Citizen Registration at NSK, the DC told.
He also further informed that for claims, objections and correction forms will be received from August 30 to September 28 next at NSK.
The forms will be available in all NSKs and can also be downloaded from www.nrcassam.nic.in from August 7.
On the other hand SP, Karbi Anglong, Dr. GV Siva Prasad informed that all security arrangement has been made to thwart any unwanted incidences on the Complete
Draft NRC publication on July 30. “There are sufficient police force and an additional force from para-military to keep on high alert in order to avoid any untoward incidences in the district on the Complete Draft NRC publication and after,” the SP said.
