President arrives in Kohima for Hornbill Festival

On his arrival at Kohima helipad, the President was received by the Governor P.B Acharya, Chief Minister of Nagaland, T.R Zeliang along with his cabinet colleagues, senior state bureaucrats, IGAR, DGP, senior SP Kohima, deputy commissioner of Kohima and other senior government officials stated the DPRO Kohima. The Chief Minister of Nagaland and his cabinet colleagues also called on the president and held a meeting at Raj Bhavan. A cultural programme and a state dinner was accorded to the visiting President. Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio and a host of bureaucrats and army officials were also present in the function. Cultural troupes from Chakhesang, Zeliang, Khiamniungan, Pochury and Sümi communities enthralled the gathering. Raj Bhavan officials also informed that the president also met various organisations of the state including Naga Hoho, Naga Students 'Federation, Eastern Naga Students Union, Naga Mothers Association and CNTC and had short interaction with them. It also stated that the Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University Pardeshi Lal. The NMA and the NSF also submitted memorandums to the president.
