KIPHIRE — Preparations for the 77uba United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) are moving ahead with full energy at Tutheze village in Kiphire district.
The village community and leaders are working together with dedication as they prepare to host the celebration from January 13 to the 15th, 2026.
The prayer was led by Dr. H Apise, associate secretary, USBLA sub-centre, Kiphire, who also guided the proceedings of the day.
Aketo V Sangtam, executive chairman of the USSC, met with villagers who expressed concerns about the deteriorating road leading to their village.

Following discussions, Yangpongse and T Kirithong Sangtam agreed to support the community, committing to deploy six excavator machines to repair the entire stretch of the road. Aketo expressed deep gratitude to the donors, thanking USBLA, Yangpongse, and Kirithong for their timely help.
The chairman of Tutheze village extended a warm welcome to all attendees and expressed sincere gratitude, stating that hosting the 77uba USSC is a great honour for their small village.
He acknowledged the kindness and contributions of the team and donors, assuring them that their efforts will be remembered by the community.
Speaking on behalf of the donors, Yangpongse expressed his hope that the event would bring blessings, unity, progress, and success to Tutheze village and the broader community.
He also thanked MLA YM Humtsoe for sponsoring the day’s lunch.
