LONDON — Michael Carrick debuted with the best possible result on Saturday as Manchester United beat local rival Manchester City 2-0 at Old Trafford.
Bryan Mbeumo finished off a perfect counterattack to put United ahead in the 65th minute, and Matheus Cunha then squared the ball for Patrick Dorgu to double the lead in the 76th minute and seal the points for the home side.
