performing a cultural dance on the occasion of Rabindranath Tagore’s birth
anniversary in Dimapur on Friday.

Vidyapith Higher Secondary School (PVHSS), Dimapur, celebrated the 164th birth
anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore and the Bengali New Year on Friday at Pranab
jubilee auditorium.
- An update from the school stated that the welcome speech was
delivered by the school’s principal, Monoj Bhattacharjee, wherein he vividly
described the life, career and contributions of the poet-philosopher
Rabindranath Tagore.
- The special guest and president of Dimapur Bengali Samaj, KK
Paul, presented the autobiography of the world poet. He witnessed various items
performed by the students.

- During the programme, the rank holders and subject toppers
of the school were felicitated by the chairman, principal and other
dignitaries. The chairman of Vidyapith, Swami Chinmayanandaji Maharaj, said
words of blessings.
- The jubilant cultural programme was followed by a vote of
thanks delivered by Dilip Das, assistant teacher of the school.
