Dimapur, Jan. 12: Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School (PVHSS), Dimapur organised its annual prize distribution ceremony, on January 11, at Pranab Jubilee Auditorium, with Shrimat Swami Biswapremanandaji Maharaj, assistant secretary of B.S.S. Kolkata as chief guest and Shrimat Swami Dyaneshanandaji Maharaj, member of the Executive Body of Central Committee of BSS as guest of honour.
Speaking at the programme, the chief guest applauded the management, teachers and students for their untiring effort to make the school a premier altar of education in the whole state. He also released the school magazine ‘PRANABAM’.
Principal of PVHSS, Monoj Bhattacharjee, presented the school annual report, while L.C. Das, founder headmaster in his speech urged upon the students, teachers and parents to extend their self-less co-operation to shape the school a glorious centre of learning.
Prizes were awarded to the winners of Inter School/ College Essay Competition followed by cultural programme staged by the students.
To mark the centenary celebration of BSS, the devotees and well-wishers of Sangha organised a colourful procession with centenary ‘Ratha Jatra’ on January 12 started from BSS. Mandir premises and walked around the city. A religious congregation was also held at Mandir premises.
Meanwhile BSS informed that Universal Peace Yajna will be held on January 13 at Dimapur Railway High School Campus at 6 p.m.
