DIMAPUR, JANUARY 23
The annual prize giving ceremony of the Pranab Higher Secondary School of Dimapur was held today coinciding with the birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose.
The ceremony was held at the Pranab Jubilee Auditorium with advisor to Urban Development SI Jamir as the chief guest of the event.
Remembering the founders of the institution during the occasion, S.I Jamir congratulated the management for bring good name and bringing up students through their teachings.
Citing the school as ‘one of the most prominent institution in Nagaland’, the chief guest expressed his confidence with the school towards bringing up students who can bring good name in the society and to the nation as well.
He said though in the past the main objective of going to schools were to graduate or finish masters course and find a government job, the present society demand more than just degree qualifications. He said professionalism and skilled individuals with proper qualifications can only fit in the ‘job’ city that countless number of Naga youths who are educated remains unemployed.
The chief guest also advised the students to stop depending on government jobs but to skill oneself in any profession as unlimited scopes are open for those who study unique professions.
The institution awarded the rank holders for the year 2015-2016 in HSLC and HSSLC examinations.
