Pranab College NSS Cell in Dimapur observes the Nasha Mukti Sankalp campaign to promote a drug-free society.
DIMAPUR — Pranab College, through its National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell, observed the "Nasha Mukti Sankalp for Viksit Bharat" campaign, an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, aimed at building a drug-free society.
The programme was held under the chairpersonship of Methunlung Newmai, a fifth-semester student from the Department of Sociology, according to an update.
Principal Dr. Santosh Kumar addressed the gathering on the importance of the anti-drug campaign.
A thematic presentation was delivered by Shenok, a fifth-semester student from the Department of Political Science. Perspectives on the issue were also shared by students Aswani of the fifth semester, Department of English, alongside Pratik and Rohit Das, both first-semester students from the Department of Commerce.
As part of the campaign, participants took a pledge to remain committed to fostering a drug-free society, which was followed by a signature campaign organised in support of the cause.
