Prabha Khaitan Foundation organises ‘The Write Circle’ in Chümoukedima with journalist Rasheed Kidwai and R Lungleng, supported by Oil India Limited.

DIMAPUR — The Prabha Khaitan Foundation (PKF) organised a session of ‘The Write Circle’ with journalist and author Rasheed Kidwai at Zone Niathu by The Park, Chümoukedima, on Wednesday.
The event was held with the support of Oil India Limited with Zone Niathu by The Park as hospitality partner, stated an update.
Delivering the welcome note, Viketuno Rio, Ehsaas woman of Dimapur, stated that the Prabha Khaitan Foundation is committed to advancing creative and intellectual expression through sustained engagement with the performing arts, culture, education, literature, gender equality, and women’s empowerment.

She noted that its programmes are thoughtfully curated and include author interactions, book launches, literary festivals, panel discussions, boutique cultural events, and performances by singers, dancers, and theatre artists.
"Through these initiatives, the Foundation provides authors and artists with meaningful platforms to engage with audiences, encourage dialogue, and cultivate a deeper appreciation of the arts," she added.

Rasheed Kidwai is a distinguished journalist, author, columnist, and political analyst, currently a visiting fellow at the Observer Research Foundation (ORF). A former associate editor of The Telegraph, Kidwai is an alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi, and holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.
In addition to his writing, he is a familiar and authoritative voice on television, contributing regularly to leading news platforms such as CNN-News18, ABP News, NDTV, India Ahead, and India Today.
In conversation with the author was R Lungleng, a political commentator and media personality known for hosting "The Lungleng Show," a YouTube channel focusing on politics, development, and social issues in Northeast India, particularly Nagaland.
The session also witnessed an interaction between the author and the audience.
Later, proposing the vote of thanks, Abokali Jimomi, Ehsaas woman of Dimapur, thanked Oil India Limited for their support in favouring the growth of literature and arts in the Northeast.

Jimomi remarked that the nation is woven from countless cultural threads, each adding its own colour and character. "In honour of this diversity and in the spirit of fostering deeper cultural appreciation," the author and the conversationalist were felicitated with pairs of terracotta artifacts.
Each attendee also received a complimentary copy of “The Scam That Shook a Nation: The Nagarwala Scandal”, co-authored by Kidwai and Prakash Patra, personally signed by Kidwai.
