Kohima, April 2 (EMN): A high voltage cable snapped from a steel tubular pole near Niathu Garden on Saturday (April 1) evening in Kohima.
An official from the Power department informed Eastern Mirror on Sunday that the high voltage transmission line fell on the ground due to ‘rampant earth cutting’ near it.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]Due to the incident, it was learnt that the power supply to different locations such as Bayavü, Pezielietsie, Kenuozou, Kitsubozou, Kruoliezou, Garüzou, and Sepfüzou colonies etc., were affected.
After trying all efforts since Saturday night to fix the system, it was informed that the department would restore the power supply in the next one or two hours, at the time of filing of this report.
