Dimapur, Feb. 2 (EMN): Power consumers in Kohima, and the adjoining areas of Peren and Medziphema, will experience ‘total shutdown of power supply’ in the coming two days.
The establishment of the executive engineer transmission division of Kohima on Fri. informed on Feb. 3 the shutdown would be from 6 am to 10 pm; and on Feb. 4, from 6 am to 2 pm.
The reason, it informed, was because the department was “taking up strengthening and stringing of new bus bar at 132/33/11kV sub-station at Kohima in order to facilitate drawal of power from the newly commissioned 4x8 MVA transformer.”
