Power shutdown in 7 Nagaland districts from April 15 to May 17

- DIMAPUR — Power supply in seven districts of
Nagaland will be affected due to vegetation clearance for 132kV and 66kV
transmission lines under Transmission Division, Mokokchung, scheduled from
April 15 to May 17.
- In a press release, the executive engineer of Transmission
Division, Mokokchung, informed that there will be total shutdown of power from
8 am to 4 pm daily in notified districts/areas order to facilitate smooth
execution of the works.
- “This exercise is necessitated with the aim to provide
stable power supply and avoid unwarranted disruption of supply. The department
appeals to all public in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear the
inconvenience during the shutdown period,” the release stated.
- The scheduled dates and districts/areas under shut down are:
April 15- 19 (Tuensang, Noklak and Shamator districts), April 28 to May 3
(Zunheboto district). May 5- 10 (Changtongya and Tuli sub-divisions in
Mokokchung district, Longleng and Mon districts), May 12- 17 (Longnak and Mangkolemba
sub-division in Mokokchung district).
