Power scoots from Dimapur; returns to some areas

Eastern Mirror Desk Dimapur, May 9: Electricity consumers in the transmission division of Dimapur experienced power cuts on Wed. May 9 following 'uncertain fault.' According to sources from the Power department the transmission problem was from Nagarjan and because of the 'unfavourable weather it was taking time for power to be restored.' "We are unable to restore the power as the fault was at every level and could not ascertain the exact fault. The fault is at every level from upstream to downstream and unable to ascertain where things have gone wrong," the source from the department informed. The source requested consumers to 'bear with the department' as it was working to restore power supply. 'We are still on the job ascertaining the fault and working,' the source said. Electricity supply to some areas of the city is said to have been restored at the time this report was going to press.
