Power disruption in Tuli, Longleng and Mon after transmission tower collapse

DIMAPUR — Power supply to Tuli Sub-Division, Longleng and Mon district has been disrupted following the collapse of a 66 kV transmission tower at Yisemyong area in Mokokchung district on Friday.

According to the Transmission Division, Mokokchung, the incident occurred at around 5 am and was caused by massive landslides in the area. Intensive line patrolling was carried out, and the fault location was identified by 4 pm the same day.

The department said arrangements are being made to assess the situation and restore power at the earliest possible time. Consumers in the affected areas have been urged to bear with the inconvenience while restoration work is undertaken.
