Dimapur, June 21(EMN): The department of Power has informed that it will be conducting test charge on the 132KV Wokha-Doyang NH-61 (now changed to NH-02) transmission line on June 23 at 12 noon. The transmission line passes through Longsa, Niroyo, Nrung Longidang, Wokha, New Wokha, Koro, Koio, Chukitong, Tsungiki and Philimi village. In a statement issued on Friday, the department has warned the public living in the aforementioned jurisdictions to avoid touching or going near the said power line since it will be “kept charged at idle condition up to the dead-end tower at 132/33KV sub-station, Philimi switchyard under Zunheboto district.” Anybody ignoring the warning would be doing so at their own risk and the department should not be held responsible for any untoward incident, it stated.
