Dimapur, Nov. 01 (EMN): A day after the list top 100 defaulting single point metered villages was released, the Department of Power has on Wednesday again released the list of the top 100 defaulting government consumers.
" The Department is once again compelled to release the details as inspite of several reminders and notices, they fail to clear the dues," the press release from the department added.
The list comprises of other government department, quasi-government institutions and defence forces.
The Marcofed Ltd. a quasi government agency tops the list with a total outstanding of Rs. 91,01,014 followed by the Women Hostel and Treasury of one Training Institute Complex and Tuli paper mill.
Among the remaining defaulters, along with the government department there also many locations of Assam Rifles and the CRPF.
The total outstanding that these consumers owe to the department amounts to Rs. 15.45 cr.
