Power department informs on transmission line test

- DIMAPUR — The executive engineer, Transmission
Division, Kohima, Namheu Khate Zeliang, informed all concerned that the 220 kV
S/C new Kohima-Mokokchung transmission line, passing through the jurisdictions
of the villages and towns, will be test charged at the rated voltage at 11:00
am on February 12 and will remain charged thereafter.
- According to an update, the villages and towns are Zhadima,
Teichuma, Botsa, Tsiemekhuma, Tseminyu, Nsunyu, Tesophenyu, Ehunnu, Terogunyu,
Tsaphimi, Kitami, Settsu, Alichen, Longkhum, Ungma, Sastami, Ajiqami, V.K.
Town, Maromi, Phisami, Izheto, Mukami, Philimi, and Shena Old.
- The public has been informed not to touch the said
transmission line or go near it for safety purposes. Anyone doing so will do so
at their own risk, and the Department of Power will not be held responsible for
any untoward incident whatsoever.
