They say money is power. But, I would state that power is money. A person with money without the power or ability and wherewithal to make use of it, is in reality without any power in the literal sense. However, even a penniless person with the power to harness people and resources is but, already rich as rich can be. Power comes in various forms and not just the political as is the common perception. In the context of India, a bureaucrat too wields tremendous power and can even be above powerful politicians. A person in the medical profession literally has power over life and death. A stalwart of the legal profession has the delivery of justice in his hands. So do the technocrats in their own way. Teachers mould minds and influence the future generations and even the present; and so on and so forth. The only person or shall we say non-person who has no power is the madman, he is of no consequence. The most powerful person however, is not the politician, the lawyer or the doctor; he is rather the person who is able to affect the public consciousness. Therefore, it is the thinker with influential power and persuasiveness who is to be feared. Such a person will merge with the crowd, he will influence public and private life. He will have a say in our minor and major decisions, and basically he is the one who affects or rather controls the ebb and flow of existence. Rather, he is the one who controls the wind and the waves. He is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent. Yes, you guessed it right! He is God. Let us hope we are in good terms with him, for he is the bestower and with holder of blessings. Nay, he controls our dreams and our destinies.
