Police sports event concludes at Mon

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 21: The 1st Mon district police Volley ball and Carom board tournament prize distribution and closing ceremony was held on September 20 at the local ground Mon with Vice President, Konyak Union,Yuhwang as the chief guest. The chief guest in his speech encouraged the organising team to come up with more sports activities. He said that there is always lose and win in all kinds of competition and requested both the losing and winning team not to lose heart and take pride in their participation. In the volley ball PHQ, Mon emerged as the winner, 6th NAP Tizit as runner-up and Tizit police station as 2nd runner-up; in Carom men's double, Aboi PS- winner, SP Office staff- runner-up and SDRF- 2nd runner up; in Carom men's single S. John Konyak (Dist. Jail) - winner, PanjaiKonyak (PR/MT Mon) runner up and John Konyak (RHQ Mon) 2nd runner up; in Carom women's single C.Yimpen (Forest dept.) - winner, LiyuhKonyak (women cell Mon) 1st runner up and ShepeKonyak (women cell Mon) 2nd runner up. All the winners were awarded merit certificates, cash prize and a trophy.
