DIPHUPAR police personnel today nabbed four vehicle lifters and recovered a stolen vehicle from Agri Expo, 4th Mile Dimapur, around 11:30 p.m. today.
The vehicle, Maruti 800 bearing Registration No NL 01-C 3926 (grey colour) with Engine No. F8BIN2577112, Chasis No. SB 3081N1858180), reportedly belonging to Medical Officer from CIHSR Dimapur was said to have been stolen from Referral Hospital private ward parking area Dimapur on May 24.
On the basis of CCTV footage of the hospital, two of the accused were traced. Following information provided by them, the other two accused were nabbed from Agri Expo site.
The four have been identified as Sedong (25), son of Yangora of Thringnya village under Seotring police station and resident of 4th Mile near Vision Home; Kevizari (22), son of Neichuriezo Savima of Ruzaphema village under Ghaspani police station and resident of Referral Hospital; Hiasorave (24), son of Gohing Rau of New Puilwa village under Peren district and resident of Agri Colony, 4th Mile; and Tiatemsu (36), son of late Tekaneken, of Changki village under Mangkolemba and resident of Agri Colony, 4th Mile.
The recovered vehicle was handed over to the rightful owner. A case has been registered in this connection. The four accused is under the custody of Diphupar police station Dimapur.

ON receiving information that some unknown occupants of a local taxi bearing Registration No NL01 T- 8158 were demanding money from passenger vehicles near Dzukou Point, Jakhama, alert duty personnel at Phesama Police Check Post arrested two persons and recovered incriminating documents from their possession on May 24.
The police personnel intercepted the vehicle and on checking recovered 24 pages of Motor Vehicle income contribution and one counter folio of the same belonging to Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN-Accordist) from their possession. The two accused have been identified as Lt. Thonu (38) (FGN-Accordist), son of Louno of Layai village in Senapati district, Manipur, and Yangmaso (38), secretary to Midan Penyu (FGN- Accordist) Peace Camp Kenuozou, Kohima, son of L Ashing of Talui village in Ukhrul district, Manipur.
The two were apprehended and brought at South Police Station Kohima along with the vehicle and driver, Satuo (31). A case has been registered at Khuzama Police Station for investigation.
