Police nab one in hit and run case

Dimapur, March 10 (EMN): Dimapur police on March 10 arrested the prime accused involved in the March 9 hit and run case. According to police, the accused has been identified as deputy kilonser of NSCN (IM) namely Neilasetuo Angami (40), son of Rozusilie of Phesama village in Kohima district and a resident of East Police Colony, Dimapur. According to police report, the accused after hitting two pedestrians at Burma Camp junction again struck two pedestrians at Walford road in which one pedestrian died on the spot while the other persons were admitted to the hospital with injuries. It stated that the accused has admitted to the commission of the act and is in police custody. The vehicle Bolero bearing registration No. NL07C 3733 which was driven by the accused has also been seized. It added that a criminal case has been registered in East PS and investigation is on.
