Dimapur, Jan. 9 (EMN): The 9th All India Police Commando Competition concluded with a closing ceremony held on January 9 at Karbi Anglong Sports Association Stadium, Diphu, in the presence of many senior personnel from Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and state police force alongwith citizens of Diphu town and school children.
Brig Arjun Segan, DIG of ARTC&S, welcomed the chief guest Lt. Gen. Sukhdeep Sangwan, Director General Assam Rifles, and other dignitaries.
A cultural programme showcasing the north eastern states was the main attraction of the event.
The chief guest, in his speech, felicitated all the participants. He also stressed on the importance of conducting such events to foster competitive spirit and provide platform to enhance professional skills and fine tune special action drills- an important aspect for any team undertaking special mission tasks.
The DGAR also felicitated Brig. Arjun Segan, for successfully conducting the entire event in an efficient and well coordinated manner.
Assam Rifles team won the prestigious trophy, while ITBP and BSF teams secured second and third positions respectively. The chief guest also presented various trophies to winners of individual events.
