Dimapur, Sep. 4 (EMN): Inter-school Hindi poem recitation competition on the poems composed by the former prime minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, marked the Hindi Diwas held at Delhi Public School, Dimapur, on September 4.
In a competition of 24 students from 12 schools, Paridhi Jain of Hollotoli School and Ms Meghna Prabhu of Army Public School, Rangpahar, emerged as the joint winner of the poem recitation competition, while Saloni Verma of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dimapur, and Naman Kr. Jain of DPS Dimapur were declared the 2nd and 3rd winners respectively.
Dr. Chandrasekhar Chaubey, regional director of Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Half Nagarjan, Dimapur, was the chief guest.
All the proceedings of the programme and the various cultural presentations were conducted in Hindi, promoting its usage.
The judges for the event were Khrutsulu Dozo, PGT Hindi of Government Higher Secondary School, Nagarjan; Waleniba Jamir, principal of Rashtra Bhasa Hindi Training Institute, Padampukhuri, Dimapur; and Anjana Sabha Pandit, lecturer of Rashtra Bhasa Hindi Training Institute, Padampukhuri, Dimapur.
BK Nanda, DPS’s principal, welcomed the guests and the participants.
