Dimapur, July 23 (EMN): The Pochury students’ union (PSU) has appealed the state government to come out with a strong and effective regulation on ILP system so as to strictly monitor the influx of the illegal immigrants into the state.
“The influx of illegal immigrants into our state has become a threat to the society, this is due to the inefficient regulation of the present ILP system,” PSU vice president Atsopu Pfithu stated in a press statement.
Meanwhile, PSU has acknowledged and appreciated the noble work initiated by the Lotha students’ union (LSU) in regard to Inner Line Permit (ILP) system to curb the influx of the illegal immigrants. The PSU strongly supported the initiatives of the Lotha students’ union calls for reform in the existing ILP system to the government.
