Wokha, July 13 (EMN): The PMKSY-WDC (Erstwhile IWMP) IWMP-III & IV under batch-II, Land Resource department culmination programme was held at Wokha, on Thursday, to highlight the achievements of the last five years.
Addressing the culmination programme as a chief guest, Secretary of Land Resource department, Y. Kikheto Sema, IAS, shared how the department works for the uplift of socio-economy of the state.
Informing that the amount of received through the department has be carried out successfully in the district, he encouraged the beneficiaries to cooperate and sincerely work for the betterment, adding that Wokha district will become the highest per capita income in the state, in another five years and be able to compete other state of India.
He thanked the District Project Officer for their support and initiative and other officers of the department in making a dream into reality.
“Good things come in a small package,” the department has done a tremendous job with the minimum fun in yelling high return booming in the social economy life of the rural people, he cited.
Kikheto also handed a cash amount of 24,00,853/- to 16 villages in the district through Watershed Development Fund (WDF)
Wokha Deputy Commissioner, Wezope Kenye; Director of Land Resources, Hoto Yeptho and members of Watershed Committee Khyothungo and Mhonthung Yanthan also delivered short speeches.
