Dimapur, July 8 (EMN): A total of 4,239 houses have been completed in Nagaland out of the 10,120 houses sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY-Gramin) and the total amount of funds utilised was INR 66.2888 crore.
This data, which was from May 15, 2018 to July 7, 2021, was updated on the Nagaland Chief Minister’s dashboard.
The total number of beneficiaries registered was 19,538; and 18,559 houses were geo-tagged ,while Mon district had the highest registration.
Among the 11 districts in the state, Tuensang had the highest number of houses completed at 1,500 out of the 2,485 houses sanctioned and the total fund utilised was INR 20.8148 crore.
Though the highest number of beneficiaries registered was Mon district with 6,534 -- 6,286 houses geo-tagged, and 2,495 houses sanctioned -- only 1,010 houses were completed with a fund utilisation of INR 16.1638 crore.
The table showed Kohima district with lowest beneficiaries registered at 379, followed by Zunheboto with 386, and Mokokchung with 520.
As per the data, Kohima and Zunheboto were the only two districts out of the 11, where all the beneficiaries registered had their houses geo-tagged.
The PMAY-Gramin, a social welfare programme under the Rural Development department, started in the state on March 1, 2017.
