- DIMAPUR — Awareness-cum-GP
onboarding camp on PM Vishwakaram scheme was held at the conference hall of the
deputy commissioner’s office in Noklak town on February 17 under the
chairmanship of EAC, Bengjong Lemba.
- A DIPR report stated that village council chairmen, ward
authorities, VDB secretaries, artisans and ward representative were presented
during the awareness camp. The event saw awareness on 18 traditional trades,
which were explained and highlighted on trades like, barber, carpenter,
cobbler, armourer, fishing net maker, goldsmith, locksmith, hammer and toolkit
maker, traditional doll and toy maker, boat maker, metalsmith (copper, iron,
alumunium and brass), basket/ mat/ broom maker/ coir weaver, potter, sculptor,
garland maker, mason, tailor and washerman.
