Dimapur, Feb. 2 (EMN): A farewell programme in honour of Aolemla Jamir, additional development commissioner, was held on January 31 at Hotel Japfu, Kohima. The programme was chaired by Nosazol Charles, joint development commissioner and began with an invocation prayer said by N Joory, assistant development commissioner.
M Patton, commissioner-secretary of planning and coordination; Kevileno Angami, OSD of planning & coordination; and Mhonbemo Patton, principal accountant general (AG Office), spoke on the occasion.
Speeches were also delivered by ChorayiVeyie, planning officer, on behalf of the NPMSA; and Pudusol, DPO of Kiphire, spoke on behalf of the district representative.
Outgoing officer Aolemla Jamir, while delivering her farewell speech, appreciated every officers and staff of the department. She acknowledged the role played by the different officials working as a team and credited them for her achievement during her tenure.
Recollecting many years of her service life, she shared her experiences on the developmental challenges faced by the state and added that she is retiring from active service with a wealth of knowledge. She also wished the department for future success and to continue to work together with an encouraging team spirit.
Special numbers was presented by EM Lotha, assistant development commissioner. Opangtula, joint development commissioner, delivered the vote of thanks.
