Dimapur, June 6: The establishment of the deputy commissioner of Kohima has called for applications from “indigenous inhabitants of Kohima district” for a number of placements in said establishment. They are to apply in plain paper indicating contact address and phone numbers and two passport-size photographs, the administration stated Monday.
The applications from “indigenous inhabitants of Kohima district” are to fill the following posts: one LDA, three Dobashi, two drivers and four peons under the establishment of the deputy commissioner of said district.
Candidates applying for the post of Lower Divisional Assistant-cum-Computer Assistant should have a minimum qualification of Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. They are to have a diploma in Computer Application. The age limit is 21 years (minimum) to 30 years (maximum). It is further “relaxable” by 5 years for Scheduled Tribe/Schedule Caste members and serving candidates. For the posts of Dobashi, the minimum age should be of 25 years and above as on 01-01-2016.
For the posts of driver, candidates should possess a valid driver’s license. The age limit for said post is 21 years (minimum) to 30 years (maximum). The age is “relaxable” by 5 years for Scheduled Tribe/Schedule Caste members and serving candidates.
For the posts of peon, the age limit should be 21 years (minimum) to 30 years (maximum). It is further “relaxable” by 5 Years for Scheduled Tribe/Schedule Caste and serving candidates.
The establishment has also informed that there shall be a written test for LDAs following which only those candidates securing a minimum of 50 % in the written test will be eligible to sit for the Computer Practical Test.
Lastly, 1:3 ratio (number of posts: number of successful qualified candidates) shall be maintained ‘for facing the interview.’ A fee, ‘exam fee’, of Rs.200 would be exacted, the establishment stated.
With regard to Dobashi, only “oral interview” will be conducted, the establishment stated. An examination fee of Rs.100 will be levied. There will be a practical test for drivers following which 1:3 ratio (number of posts: number of successful qualified candidates) will be maintained ‘for facing the interview with exam fee of Rs.200,’ the administration stated.
For the post of peon, only “oral interview” will be conducted. An examination fee of Rs.100 will be levied. The administration also informed that 50% of the posts have been reserved for in-service candidates wherever applicable.
The administration has informed that the candidates who would be eventually called for interview are required to produce the following certificates in the original:
(a) ‘Educational qualification certificates’
(b) ‘Valid proof of age certificate’
(c) Scheduled Tribe (ST) Certificate
(d) Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate
(e) Experience certificate, if any
(f) Valid driver’s license (for drivers)
(g) Diploma in Computer (for LDA-Computer Assistant)
The last date for receiving applications is 7th July 2016. Admit cards will be issued from this office from 12-7-2016 to 15-7-2016. Candidates are informed to take note that the examination fees for the various categories of posts may be submitted while collecting their admission cards.
