Pitch Burners lifts 8th Summer Cup Cricket Tournament

Dimapur, June 4 (EMN): Pitch Burner of Karbi Anglong lifted the 8th Summer Cup Cricket Tournament played at Balijan (A) on Sunday. Earlier in day Pitch Burners after winning the toss and electing to bat first were bundled out for 58 runs in 10 overs. In a much Interesting match Pitch burners overall bundled a runs of 58 in 10 overs. In reply Dimapur Knights run chase was a disaster as the team could not achieve the target and were all out for 49 runs in 9.4 overs. Chotaylal of Dimapur Knights was adjudged as Man of the Series. The closing ceremony was graced by Padomi Engtipi, Ex- VDC Chairman, Borjan Constituency as the chief guest and congratulated Balijan Youth Club for organising the game in Balijan (A). While addressing the closing ceremony, she encouraged the players to keep this game spirit alive. She asked the players not to feel discouraged when one team lose the game. She asked the players to play the game with team spirit, discipline and brotherhood. The programme was chaired and compered by DS Pandey.
