Dimapur, June 2: The guidance and counselling cell under the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) conducted a career guidance programme for the students of Pilgrim Higher Secondary at its premises on June 2 in Dimapur.
Associate Professor Dr. Zavise Rume, state nodal officer SCERT; Atanu Moitra, director of Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematic, MAAC Kolkata; Fr. Bosco, counsellor of Salesian House Dimapur; and Aniban Mukherjee, operation manager of Emporium Kolkata were the resource persons for the conference.
Dr. Zavise Rume said that the conference was organised with the objective to provide an opportunity for the students to have a direct face to face interaction with the professionals.
“The students are helped in making a judicious decisions based on their interest and abilities” he said.
He also suggested that the Pilgrim School should set up a guidance and counselling centre and also form a career club. “To make the school a resourceful centre for guidance and counselling we must initiate this” he added.
He concluded by encouraging the students to admire and start practising the careers that they are considering.
Atanu moitra, from Kolkata informed students about the scopes of animation, VFX and multimedia field leading into the path of media and entertainment. She showcased two animation films, one of which is internationally acclaimed called ‘Spectacular.’
Resource person from Make Over Academy, an institute that provides technical intern training, informed the students that one can enrol themselves for Japanese language training for which the student can also get a chance to go to Japan for internship for three to five years.
