Two persons drowned at Boho Resort in Chümoukedima district during a picnic outing, with SDRF teams recovering both bodies after hours of search operations.

DIMAPUR — Two persons drowned in a tragic incident at Boho Resort, a popular picnic spot at Bade village in Chümoukedima district, on February 21.
According to Havildar Yevuxu Swu, an SDRF personnel, the rescue team received a distress call at around 4:40 pm and immediately rushed to the spot to carry out a search and retrieval operation.
He said that the first body was recovered at approximately 7:30 pm, while the second was retrieved around 10:30 pm.

The deceased were identified as Along Konyak (21) of Old Jaboka village in Mon district, and M Chophy (42), a resident of Lahorijan in Assam.
The body of Along Konyak was later claimed by the Konyak Union Chümoukedima and taken to Old Jaboka village for burial, while the other deceased was handed over to his family.
